Another great Phil Ball book about Spanish football. Unlike most English authors about football in Spain he try`s to give a balanced view, unlike all the books written about the most overated club
in Europe, Barcelona.
There`s no doubt Franco did see a advantage to having a great football team in the Spanish capital but he did not get on with Santiago Bernabeu, Real president and was not in bed with
the club as many books would have you think.
