An Englishman Abroad |
Beckham's Spanish Adventure
Phil Ball

Phil Ball casts his experienced eye over Beckham's journey into Spanish football, considering the impact the Englishman has had on the Galacticos and vice versa. The plethora of books on Becks can sometimes seem underwhelming, but with an author like Phil Ball at least we can be sure of some insightful and intelligent comment on Spanish culture and an eventful season for all. Includes material on Beckham's captaincy of the national team at Euro 2004. |

Add my Review |
San Sebastian-based Ball`s "An Englishman Abroad" is an excellent insight not just into the life and times of David Beckham but also shows real understanding of the expat experience. It tops my summer book list.
